Scribe Therapeutics
Develops CRISPR-based genetic medicines using engineered Cas proteins for cardiometabolic diseases.
Scribe disclosed three preclinical cardiometabolic programs at ASGCT, running both epigenetic silencing and CasX editing in parallel.

Scribe has been the quiet sibling in CRISPR cardiometabolics while Verve has taken all the press. ASGCT changed that. Three disclosed programs, two mechanisms, one tissue. STX-1150 is the epigenetic silencer headed to IND this summer, no permanent DNA edit. STX-1200 and STX-1400 are CasX edits at Lp(a) and triglycerides. Doudna's company is now running both the reversible and permanent versions of cardiometabolic gene control in parallel, with Lilly and Sanofi already paying for the platform. That's two thesis bets, not one.
